Susan Paige Morrison '58
Major: European History, with Miss Evalyn Clark as my advisor
Career: Educator, Mother, World Traveler "In 1956 my family moved to Tehran, Iran. In those days there was no Junior Year Abroad, so I taught school at the American Presbyterian Mission School. After Vassar I worked in New York City and earned a master's degree in history from Columbia and a two year master's degree from what was then the Near and Middle East Institute. I returned to Tehran in 1961, spent the summer of 1962 at Harvard studying with Amin Banani, and was married that September. I worked briefly for the CIA, I even had a trip back to Iran, and then I had my family. We have lived on Gibson Island, Maryland, since 1972 (except for three years in Paris when my husband was the European representative for NASA). I now do numerous volunteer things.
My charitable gift annuity is in memory of my dear aunt, Alice Victoria Parker Hunt '28 and my dear mother, Anita Gertrude Parker Paige '29."
